Twin Tips- This Stage Will Pass
I remember when the twins were first born and they nursed and nursed and nursed. I cried and cried and cried. Will I be stuck on the couch for the rest of my life?
I remember when they were infants and I felt housebound. Will I ever have a life again? Ever?
I remember when they started walking and… well, life was a mess. One went this way and one went that way. How in the world will I keep from losing one of them? They are both still here, so obviously we got through that.
I remember when the terrible twos started, well before the age of two might I add. I remember thinking ‘this is going to be a slow and painful death- FOR ME!’.
The separation anxiety when they went to Mother’s Day Out. Will I ever get a break?
The fighting and arguing at age four- this is our current challenge.
But I tell you my friend, it all passes. These are stages and phases. Just keep going- you will get through it. Focus on getting through every day. Do the next thing. Reach out to your family or a friend for a break. Just an hour away can do wonders on your spirit. You feel a little lost- I understand!
And at some point you will look back, like I do all the time, and miss it. You’ll laugh a little too, but most of all, you will survive!
Hi! A friend came across your blog and shared this link with me! I have four girls–a just turned 4-year-old, an almost two-year-old and almost 6-month-old twins! So my life is a bit crazy too! I'm looking forward to reading about your life!

I needed to read this! Thank you! I Just found your blog and love it. I need all the friendly advice I can get right now. I love my twins and love this stage, it is still hard! My girls are 6 months old and finally sleeping through the night and I ask myself why am I still so tired and just want to lay down and take a nap when I should be getting stuff done? I guess it is just the energy they take out of me during the day as well as my three year old.
