If We Ever Make it to the Florida Beaches
Family vacations are what we all dream about right? Such great memories made and time reflected upon once your kids are older. I certainly remember all of the adventures we had together as a kid!
If you are looking for something incredible to do with your family don’t worry about visiting a theme park. Florida is such a great family destination with so much to do! Santa Rosa County is a hidden gem among the many getaways to be had in Florida. It has a completely relaxing atmosphere and white sandy beaches that are nationally protected for their beauty and luxury. On top of that there is a ton of educational sites to see for the whole family!
Family vacations should be all about family. I know an ideal destination of choice is not some place beaming with crowds and loud noise. Santa Rosa County is overflowing with so many sites and activities you won;t want to go home! There are only 10 nationally protected seashores so this 8 miles of undeveloped seafront is totally breathtaking! The possibilities for family bonding are endless and the landmarks are fabulous!
8 Reasons To Visit Florida Beaches
1. Camping anytime of the year is such a classic family past time. Why not pitch a tent surf side or try out glamping in an RV for an all out amazing camping adventure.
2. explore the art of birding or bird watching. The unaltered beaches of Santa Rosa County are beaming with feathered friends too amazing to miss!
3. Fishing is always a hit for families! Become the angler you never knew you could be by casting into the surf, fishing from the pier, or even coordinating a chartered excursion for some serious fishing wonder. There are tons of fish in the sea.
4. With water sports there is always something new to experience at Navarre Beach. Jet skiing, paddle-boarding, or just having some all around laziness waterside, you are sure to catch up on some R&R beachfront while the kids enjoy everything the beach has to offer too!
5. Navarre Beach Marine Park is a wonderful educational site for learning all about the marine life. With hands on activities and even dolphin adventures there are a lot of interesting things to learn and see and experience up close.
6. The beautiful migrations of the butterflies along the coast play a vital role in the environment. The Panhandle Butterfly House is open for families to see butterflies, learn of their migrations, pollinating abilities, all while seeing the conservation processes too!
7. The dining and shopping in the area is also a wonderful adventure for kids and parents alike. There are tons of dining options to satisfy the whole crowd and you just never know what you will find in the mom and pop shops around Navarre Beach.
8. Diving, snorkeling, and ziplining at Navarre Beach is unlike any other experience had before! The wonder below the surf is a site to be seen and explored and seeing things from high above on a zip line are beyond amazing!
Navarre Beach is definitely one of the places I would love to take my family. It doesn’t get any better than visiting a place where you can totally disconnect with family, have fun, but also enjoy peace and quiet.

I love the beaches in Florida!!! The sand there is like no other, and amazing to put your feet in.
When I was a kid our yearly vacation was to Naples, Florida to visit family and the beach … we live in Ohio. We would load up in the car/van (depending on the year) around 2 or 3 in the morning and dad would drive us straight through. I LOVE FLORIDA and will always have a place for it and the beaches in my heart. It’s beautiful, there is so much to do there, the food is amazing, and to me … Florida means family!
We enjoyed the beach in Florida when we were there a couple of years ago, but having grown up on the shores o lake michigan, we have been spoiled by beaches like that our whole lives. They are amazing.
We went to Daytona Beach a few years ago. I loved that there were lifeguards on duty for emergencies.
I do miss having the beach near by. I lived about an hour from the beach a little over ten years ago. I miss being able to go to the beach to fish and swim. I would also enjoy checking out the sea turtles too.
We’ve never been to any beach in the U.S. yet since we got here 5 years ago. Can you believe that? 🙂 But visiting a beach is on our bucket list though. Thanks for the ideas.
For a family vacation, easy and inexpensive activities are a must! I seriously can’t wait to take my kids to the ocean someday!
We’ll be heading to the beach next month for a weekend getaway. I like having the option to something or do nothing.
I’ve never even been to Florida before. I would love to go there for the beaches. I know my girls would love it there as well. We all love the water and sandy beaches!
We are actually going to check out a Florida beach next week on our way to Disney. Since we are driving, we can take our pick. Love all the great reasons to visit Florida’s beaches!
When I am planning a family vacation I always look at what activities are close to where we are going to stay. Letting the kids get involved with the decisions is always a great way to get them excited.
