Weekly Meal Plan 14
Another yummy week ahead.
My Homemade Gourmet lady has taken a few months off from the ‘Monthly Meal Classes’ that we do once a month at her house. We are now back on schedule.
How this works is, once a month she sends out a menu of 7-10 dinner options. You pick 7 for $100 or 10 for $150. Each of the meals obviously is made using one of their kitchen mixes.
She does all the shopping and you go to her house on a designated Saturday and assemble your meals using all the ingredients she provides.
Each meal is placed in a Ziploc bag and labeled.
You stick it in your ice cooler, and bring it home to freeze.
Then, you have 7-10 meals on hand in your freezer, just needing to be thawed and placed in the oven, the crockpot or on the stove.
When the twins were born this was essential to anyone eating… other than the new little babies that overwhelmed me immensely. They ate rather I cooked dinner or not… but the rest of us were hungry. So, I started going to her ‘Meal Classes’ and I have been hooked ever since.
Oh, if you do not want to go and assemble your meals on the designated Saturday, you can pay her a small fee and she will assemble your meals for you and all you have to do is show up and pickup your food.
If meal planning overwhelms you the way that raising five boys overwhelms me, than Homemade Gourmet Meal Classes are a great and safe place to start for meal planning. It really takes the guess work out of dinner.
Just thaw, place in the crockpot or oven, and make a side and a bread and you’re done.
Kids are full and you get out easy!
So, here is my meal plan for the week. You will notice I have a few Homemade Gourmet meals on my menu, but you can easily make the same meals, replacing their seasoning mixes with other items you may have on hand and dinner is done.
Or, you can call a HG rep in your area and ask if they offer these meal classes or buy the mixes and assemble them at home.
Homemade Gourmet Potato Baked Crispy Chicken– with a green veggie and skillet potatoes from a new website I started following. She is a mom of many as well and has some easy recipes that have on hand ingredients. I am not finding the chicken recipe on the HG website, but basically, you melt butter and coat your chicken breasts in it. Then dredge the breasts in Homemade Gourmet Instant Mashed Potatoes. Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.
Homemade Gourmet Steak and Peppers– with steamed white rice and frozen asian stir fry veggies. I will cook the peppers and steak in the crockpot and the last two hours or so I will add the frozen veggies. We have fortune cookies for the kids as well- just from a box, but they love them!
Crockpot Pizza– this is leftover from last week as our meals stretch further than I excepted them to. I can not wait to make this!
PW’s Fried Pork Chops with Crockpot Pinto Beans and Mexican Cornbread– ‘nough said.
Leftover Buffet
*Quick lunch or snack idea….
Our almost 4 year old twins love fresh veggies. For the last few weeks we have been getting a small’ish veggie tray when we do our grocery shopping.
We have been eating it as a healthy snack, or I put it on the table with their lunch and they can pick what they want off the tray.
You can eat on it for days. Just pop the lid back on it and put it back in the fridge until the next indulgence.
They love it… especially dipping the veggies in ranch dressing.
Works for me.
Have a great week!

great idea to put out the veggies for the kids. It always amazes me how they will pick at food and then it's all of a sudden gone!
Hope your week is going well!
