Weekly Meal Plan 23

Sharing is caring!

We had a delicious Easter Sunday dinner at my sister’s house yesterday. She requested I bring those yummy creamy rosemary potatoes I brought to Christmas. So I did. We love Pioneer Woman! And we thank her. She has made all of our lives so much better with lots of cream and butter and garlic. Which smell amazingly wonderful cooking in your kitchen! This recipe is also in PW’s beautiful cookbook, which my friend Kim and I stood in line until 1:30 am to get signed copies of back in December with a ten month old baby no less! Everyone should try that at least once in their lives!

So, what else are we eating this week? Mud pies! Kidding… Although once, when we were little, my brother and I made mud pies and told the neighbor kids they were pudding pies. They then told their parents. Their parents then talked to our parents. Our afternoon of play soon ended. I remember thinking… it is not my fault they fell for it. Naive neighbor kids!

Which leads me to my meal plan for the week… as we prepare enough food to run a daycare!

Nutella and toast- the breakfast of running late mornings!

Scrambled eggs

An early trip to IHOP. Tuesday is Garrett’s 11th birthday. I thought it would be fun to wake up at 5:30 and take him and Anthony to breakfast at IHOP (while Lenny stays home with the little’s). Great way to start your birthday morning off and it is yucky TAKS (one of the lovely mandatory state testing day at school)…. so a better start to a not so fun school day!

Instant Oatmeal- Maple and Brown Sugar

Cold cereal

Big boys packed lunches are:

Nutella and Peanut Butter

apple

chips

bottled water (with flavor packet to add)

snack item- (cookie, granola bar, leftover cupcake from this weekends b-day party)

Lunch for those of us at home:

Corny dogs

ABC’s and 123’s

PBJ sandwich

Mac and Cheese

We have grapes, apple sauce, apples, and carrots as some fruit/veggie choices.

After school time is a hungry time at our house…

Homemade Gourmet Taco Dip!!! It’s back! I ran out of seasoning for a few weeks… so happy to have more! Served with tortilla chips.

Frozen Pizza Rolls

Popcorn on the stove

Granola bars and yogurt

Homemade Gourmet Italian Roundsteaks– throw ’em in the crockpot. Served with rolls and steamed, buttered, mixed veggies (frozen).

Kelli’s Loaded Chicken Breasts– I can not wait to try these! Served with steamed, buttered broccoli (frozen) and Dole’s Southwest Salad Kit.

Homemade Gourmet Chicken Piccata– served with buttered noddles, garlic bread and steamed mixed veggies (frozen).

Homemade Gourmet English Muffin Italian Pizza’s– excited to try these! I’ll make some HG Pecan Mini Muffins for dessert. Yum!

Garrett’s Birthday Dinner– not sure yet. We may eat out for the occasion. He loves Joe’s Crab Shack.
