Now, on to food…..

Last week ended up being a crazy week at our house. We had Christmas parties at school for four children (twins had their preschool party and the big kids had a party at their school). We also had an evening Christmas performance for Anthony which was lovely and I had not taken into account when meal planning. But no matter how great your meal plan is, sometimes, we fail to execute. With all of that to say, I have two meals that are carry overs from last week.

Cheesy Ham and Pasta Bake– I think the three little ones will really like this. Anything with pasta (especially penne) is a go for them!

Fettuccine Carbonara– using the leftover ham from the cheesy ham pasta above. This recipe came from the Kraft site, which is awesome. You just enter three ingredients and it will give you lists of recipes using those items. This meal should take about 30 minutes to prepare and sounds amazing!

Chicken Broccoli Red Pepper Stir Fry– served with steamed rice. (carry over from last weeks menu)

Slow Cooker 40 Clove Garlic Chicken– still very excited to try this! 🙂 Served with veggies, steamed rice and some bread. (carry over from last weeks menu)

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we are traveling.

Christmas Eve night we are going to my oldest brother’s house (but he is still three years younger than me) and all of my nieces and nephews are going to make cookies for Santa, make Christmas pizza, watch Christmas movies and make a sweet baby Jesus craft.

Christmas Day we are traveling to my sister’s house and celebrating with an Italian themed dinner and a super fun gift exchange. I was asked to bring lasagna, but I am searching for something a little more fun. Like this Chicken Cacciatore that I’ve made a few times?

What are your Christmas traditions or plans?

  1. hope you enjoy the pasta bake!!

  2. I think I will try the 40 clove chicken, but with a turkey breast instead. That sounds so yummy.
