Last week we made chicken and rice in the crockpot using a recipe I found online. Not 100% happy with the way it turned out. It was over done around the edges and then there was al dente rice throughout the middle.   Any chicken and rice recipes that have worked for you in the crockpot in the past that you want to share would rock!

I am sharing my meal plan over on Org Junkie where hundreds of women share recipes and meal planning solutions.

Hey! I found your website through Org Junkie. I LOVE crockpot recipes! I’ve been wanting to make Sloppy Joe’s out of my crockpot soon. Now I definitely will!

    1. Awesome Betsy! So glad you found me. Let know how you like the Sloppy Joe’s.

    1. Your recipe looks great. I might try it and convert it to a crockpotable version. I just struggle with finding a happy medium for the rice and liquid mixture that will not over cook or under cook. :/

  2. The angel chicken looks great! Do you think I can use chicken broth instead of wine?

    1. Doesn’t the Angel Chicken look and sounds great?
I think chicken broth would work just fine. 🙂

My friend makes chicken in the crockpot with just one bottle of Italian dressing, 1 cup of rice, and the chicken breasts. The dressing flavors and marinates the meat and acts as the moisture for the rice. I’m not sure of the time or temp, though, sorry!

    1. Annie- does she use traditional rice or minute rice? Traditional rice is what I used and what I prefer. The recipe sounds yummy!

Just regular long-grain rice. : ) She has a small family, so I’m sure you could add more rice and some water to make a bit more.

        1. Cool. I am going to try that. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
