Weekly Meal Plan: Cook without Heating up the Kitchen (Week 179) #howtomealplan

Sharing is caring!

This week we will hit 100 degrees in North Texas. Wow, already?!

Translation, cooking in the oven will be ultra-limited. Like 20 minutes or less, which means heating up just bread or baking fish.

My crockpot is perfect for days when I do not want to heat up the kitchen. If you are new to cooking in the crockpot, take a look at my 10 tips for cooking in the crockpot.

I also keep my 10 trusted no cook sides on hand!

This week I am trying more new recipes. I am really on a mission to provide awesome recipes in this next eBook that are perfect for busy families.

Weekly Meal Plan

Crockpot Root Beer BBQ Chicken– totally sounds amazing, right? One of my Twitter friends (@melh5566_hunt) really grabbed my interest when she answered my daily “What’s for dinner at your house tonight?”, question. Her recipe sent me on a quest for an interesting concoction. I will be using Root Beer, Liquid Smoke, brown sugar, garlic and ketchup for sure. And, I am throwing it all in the crockpot! Served with chili lime corn. This should be super yummy!

Dijon Kabobs– on the grilled. Served over rice. Apple sauce as a side.

Lime Butter Garlic Salmon– served with easy side salad, rice and dinner rolls.

Crockpot Ravioli– yes, again. I purchased double last week AND I have a ton of Mozzarella cheese I have to use up. Served with fresh fruit, salad and bread.

Short week. We will be heading out of town for a graduation.
