What’s Not to Love #LoveKohls
I must admit, it had been years since I went into a Kohl’s store. The one closest to my house is only a few miles away, but in the city that can mean 30 minutes in traffic.
A few weeks back we had a birthday party to attend for one of my nieces who was turning four. We had been out of town, five hours away, and were heading home back to the Dallas area. We had been in San Antonio for the last 4 days with my mother-in-law who had just been diagnoses with breast cancer. We were booking it trying to make it to the party in time and of course I had not shopped for a gift yet.
I know. I am horrible.
We made it back to the area with about an hour to spare. The closest store to the birthday party was a Kohl’s. I was pretty sure they had a toy section, but I was taking a chance. I walked in thinking how am I going to wrap this gift and why, oh why, have I waited until the last minute to get a gift.
Not only did they have a nice toy section, but they had some of my favorite toys for kids- Melissa and Doug. And even better, the toys were buy one get one for 50% off. Score!
The birthday party we were headed to was at a party place that required sock and I honestly had no idea if my kids were wearing any. We had jumped on the road in such a rush and I really did not want to dig through suitcases in the parking lot. Better to be safe than sorry.
Just about the time I was reminded that I had no idea how I was going to wrap this gift, I just about ran smack into the greeting cards, wrapping paper and gift bag area. Another score. Who knew?
Before long I stumbled upon their candles and wax warmer fragrances. I had to remind myself to maintain focus.
And what do you know? Valentine’s Day decor and gifts. I loved all of their selections.

(I am participating in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Kohl’s. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating. I was not asked to write about this until after my birthday shopping trip. The opportunity to share my story and experience could not have lined up more perfectly.)
There were things for decorating the house, hand towels and plaques, clothes for the kids, small appliances like heart shaped waffle makers, and so much more. Their prices were so affordable.
Then I remembered my husband and kids were waiting in the car. I headed to the check out. (Another bonus, the socks I got for the kids were on sale too!)
I am so happy that our day turned out the way it did and I was able to rediscover Kohl’s. I am still shocked at all the one stop shopping opportunities they have. What’s not to love?
When was the last time you were at Kohl’s and have you checked out their awesome Valentine gift ideas? I love the adorable heart inspired outfits they have for the kids at really good prices!

Right after Christmas…two teenage girls with billfolds full of gift cards. Hours of browsing at Kohl’s. Their favorite thing to do
Paula- love that!
I love Kohl’s! They always have great coupons to use pretty much every week too! 🙂
We are lucky because one of the closest stores to us is a Kohl’s. I haven’t specifically looked for Valentines Day gifts, but frequent their Christmas decorations each year because they are super cute. I also love Kohl’s for small appliances – great prices and they are on our Black Friday stop as well!
I LOVE Kohls! We shop there all the time!
We love Kohls!!! They have the best coupons!

Boy you’ve been busy (LOL)! I know this is a little off topic, but how is your mother-in-law? Anyway, I do go to Kohls semi regularly and have found it to be very competitive to other big box stores (WalMart, etc.) And yes, I agree Kohls does have a wide variety and great selections. Well, another great post! I look forward to your next one!
Awe, thanks for asking about my mother-in-law.
She had a mastectomy week before last and starts chemo. Things look really good for recovery. Prayers are always appreciated.
