Homemade Boogie Wipes Recipe
I love when I can make things at home and control the ingredients that go into the things I am using on my kids.
With snotty nose season here, boogie wipes for little ones is a must!
I did a little research and found just how easy it is to make homemade boogie wipes. I had everything on hand and you likely will too. I spent more time searching my kitchen cabinets for a container to store them in.
You Will Need:
- 1 roll of Bounty Select a Size paper towels
- 2 c water
- 1 t salt, I used fine sea saltÂ
- 1 t fractionated coconut oil
- 5-7 drops of lavender essential oilÂ
- 1 plastic container you can store the wipes in
- scissors
- bowl or large measuring cup for mixing everything in
This is super easy! The coconut oil and the lavender oil are both healing and so good for your skin.
First I used the select a size paper towels at the smallest size.
Then I cut those strips in half so they would fit easily in my container.
I put the 2 cups of water in the measuring cup.
I added to salt, essential oil and coconut oil. Stir well.
Dip the towels in the water mixture and wring them out.
Neatly fold each paper towel and stack them in the container.
Pop the lid on it and you are done!
How easy what that?
You could make 50+ of these with the 2 cups of water mixture. You just need a container big enough to store the wipes in.
That’s so great! Wipes are so expensive. I’d much rather make my own than pay through the nose for them.
That’s really great. I went through so many of these when my kids were young. I still keep wipes around this days, too, but they’re so expensive. I’ll have to give this a try.
Wow, I never would have thought to try these on my own! Great idea.
Isn’t it easy? Super simple!
ROFL!!! These homemade boogie wipes are amazing. I’m so going to try making them.
What a great idea and cost saver!! I love that they are so simple, effective and better for our kiddos! Thank you!!
This is such a great “mom hack” to have on hand for cold and flu season. It is still so hard for my boys to blow their noses but this would definitely help!
This is a great DIY. Boogie wipes are awesome but costly. This helps to save so much money.
Wow! This is such a brilliant idea! Wipes are important to me especially when we are in travel.
These homemade boogie wipes are an awesome idea. The boogie wipes would be great in a gift basket too. I am for sure going to be making these with the coconut oil. Thanks for sharing the recipe for the boogie wipes.
I love how easy this is! It is so great to know exactly what is going into things. Especially things you are going to use on your kids or self!
I had no idea this is so simple to make. What a great way to save money. I have to try this.
I never used Boogie wipes with my kiddos. I love that you found a way to make your own. Things like that can be expensive. I usually used baby wipes or kleenexs to wipe my kids noses.
I love Boogie Wipes. I’m glad you shared this. I’ll have to try making them myself too.
This is a cute idea! I love saving money by making my own products at home. I will have to try this one out!
This is such a great idea. I will have to share this with all the Mom’s I know.
Oooo I’m going to have to try and make these!!! I buy boogie wipes all the time for my daughter!
Boogie wipes can get expensive and this is a great alternative! I always seem to have empty plastic containers from wipes, so this would be perfect!
Awesome. I go through so many wipes around here, it would be nice to use ingredients I already have around the house and make my own. Thanks for the recipe.
Never thought of creating our own boogie wipes. Thanks for the idea. This sure would be a big help especially that snotty nose season is here. 🙂
Thanks for sharing this recipe. So useful and I love making my own personal care products using only natural ingredients
With three toddlers, we go through a LOT of wipes, this will be great.
That is such a smart way to save money and reuse items. I will have to try this!
This is such a great idea! Particularly during the winter season when the little ones are more prone to runny noses.
What a great DIY. I know plenty of girlfriends that are new moms and I’m sure they will really appreciate this post!
