How do you zest a lemon?

Zesting a lemon isn’t hard at all. All you’ll need is a zester and a clean lemon to make it happen.

Start by washing off the outside of the lemon. Then take your lemon and start using the zester on the outside of the rind. Lemon zest should only be the yellow part of the lemon so if you’ve gone down to the white, you’ve gone too far. (if that happens, you just need to rotate it and start another yellow side of the lemon)

Do lemon bars need to be refrigerated?

They don’t have to be but many people prefer them to be. If you do put them in the fridge then you need to have them in a container with a lid to keep them fresh.
