We love to give dad a meaningful gift for Father’s Day. This year I’ve ordered him a stainless steel tumbler with something special on the front that I know he is going to love. The kids love to make homemade cards for their daddy.
Then we enjoy a delicious meal together around the table. This is our favorite part of the day and it always brings amazing memories. We use this Today is Your Special Day plate for holidays like Father’s Day and special days like birthdays. I’ve ordered two of these plates and LOVE them!
We love to end the day with a fire around the pit in the backyard with marshmallows and music.
Honestly, keeping it simple and focusing on making memories is the most important thing for our family.
What Can I Do for Fathers Day With No Money?
Money is tight for many, and I totally respect that. Showing Dad you appreciate him does not have to be expensive.
- Cook that you have on hand. Pull something out of the freezer or work with what you have on hand in your pantry to make your special dinner for him. Avoid restaurants and cooking from home is the most budget friendly way to go.
- Make a cake or dessert at home using what you have on hand. This patriotic poke cake is a favorite. This cherry Dr. Pepper cake is so delicious as well. He will love it!
- Let the kids make homemade gifts.
- Do something together like fly a kite, go fishing, do a puzzle together as a family, play cards or a board game together, etc. Make it fun with what you have on hand!
