Legit Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe

Sharing is caring!

Pumpkin spice recipes are my favorite!

Fall is the season for changing leaves, new school years, cooler weather and pumpkins spice lattes!

Let me just say, for years I was not a fan of the popular drink. And then something changed. And last year I could not get enough of this fancy, frothy, pumpkiny drink. And now, I want to show you just how easy it is to make this drink at home. That’s right, a legit pumpkin spice latte recipe you can pull off in your own kitchen with serious froth!

This is what you need to make two delicious pumpkin spice lattes at home.

  • 1 T pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 c milk plus 2 c milk (we used 2%)
  • 3 T sugar granules
  • a dash of vanilla
  • favorite Nepresso capsule (I used Lungo)
  • 1/2 t pumpkin pie spice, plus some for dusting the top
  • whipped topping

In a small bowl add your puree, sugar, dash of vanilla, pumpkin pie spice and 1/2 cup of milk. Whisk until well blended.

It will look like this. Add half of this to your coffee cup.

Set your coffee cup aside as well as the leftover pumpkin spice puree milk. You will use the leftover for a second cup.

Power up your Lattissima Pro.

Did you know that the Lattissima Pro is a combination of the Nespresso capsule system and De’Longhi’s Automatic Cappuccino System and allows for simple one touch espresso based, barista-style beverages! This machine provides six pre-programmed drinks: ristretto, espresso, lungo, cappuccino, latte, hot milk and hot water for simple, one touch beverage brewing with the perfect amount of milk every time. It really is amazing and super easy to use! I am going to show you how with this recipe.

Add two cups of milk to the milk froth cylinder.

Attach it to the machine as the instruction in your owner’s manual show.

Inset your coffee capsule in the lever area indicated in your owners manual.

Place your coffee cup (which has half of the pumpkin spice milky puree added to it) under the coffee outlet and adjust milk spout to a position that lines up where it can drip milk into your cup.

On the display screen choose the Latte Macchiato option.

The screen will tell you to move the milk froth dial from the clean position to the froth level you want. I did full froth!

The machine will start to add steamed milk and froth to your cup.

Once the frothing is done, it will automatically brew the coffee.

The screen will indicate to move the milk froth dial to the clean position. Do so. It will add a bit more water to your cup.

(Isn’t the Lattissima Pro beautiful? I love how it fits sleekly on my kitchen counter and I feel like a barista as I craft the perfect latte!)

Remove your cup and stir a bit to ensure the puree and coffee are combined.

Top with whipped cream and a dash or two of pumpkin pie spice.

This is totally a legit cup of pumpkin spice latte!

This pairs perfectly with a croissant or pumpkin bread. I have never been so excited for Fall!

  2. The Lattissima Pro looks like a great machine! My husband like black coffee, but I like fancier coffee beverages such as these. I would definitely like one of these in my house. I will have to put one on my Christmas wish list.
