Slow Cooker Rotisserie Chicken

Sharing is caring!

One thing I love to have on hand is at least one rotisserie chicken. If I am in a hurry I will grab one from the grocery store, but if I have planned my time and meals best it is really easy to make a rotisserie chicken in the crockpot!

I want you to remember, just about anything you can cook in the oven, on the stove, or any other means, you can cook in your Crockpot. Slow cooker recipes are a great option for busy moms with large families! I should know… I have six kids at home that I have to prepare dinner for every single night.

Let me show you how easy this is!

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole fryer (2-4 pounds)
  • 1 whole onion, sliced ( I love purple onion)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (I use the jarred kind)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 T olive oil

Are you ready? This is super easy!

Slice your onion and layer it in the bottom of your slow cooker. Here is how to choose the best slow cooker and which one is my favorite.

Evenly scatter the minced garlic over the onion.

Place the whole chicken on top of the onions and garlic breast side up.

Then drizzle it with the olive oil and use your hands to rub it on evenly.

(Wash your hands after you touch the chicken.)

Then crack fresh pepper and sprinkle with salt.

If you want to add herbs you can, but that is not necessary.

No water or broth needed. Shocker, I know.
