Ingredients Needed to Make this Jam

Here’s what you need to make this blackberry recipe!

  • Fresh Blackberries – Their natural sweetness paired with a hint of tartness creates such a delicious flavor combo. When you use them fresh, they keep that beautiful color and juicy texture that not only tastes great but looks amazing in the jar. Fresh blackberries are loaded with vitamins and antioxidants, making your jam a healthier treat.
  • Maple Syrup – Not only does it add sweetness, but it also brings a nice depth of flavor. Maple syrup has this unique, rich, and slightly caramelized taste that pairs perfectly with the tartness of the blackberries. Plus, it helps make the jam nice and smooth, so it spreads easily.
  • Sugar – Sugar acts like a natural preservative, helping the jam last longer by keeping bacteria and mold at bay. Plus, it’s key for getting that perfect texture we all love—it helps the mixture gel up so it’s nice and spreadable.
  • Lemon – Lemon adds a nice brightness that really boosts the flavors. The natural acidity balances out the sweetness from the blackberries and maple syrup, creating a refreshing contrast that makes the jam pop. Lemon juice helps with the gelling process, making sure the jam has that perfect consistency.
