Ice Cream Puff Paint Craft for Preschoolers

Sharing is caring!

We love doing crafts that go along with alphabet learning. If you are teaching your preschooler the alphabet we have a TON of hands on learning activities that help and make learning totally fun!

“I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!” You know you just totally sang that while you read it!

I is for ice cream and we had some real fun with this one. This ice cream puff paint craft for preschoolers is perfect for learning all about letter /Ii/!

You will need:

  • homemade puff paint
  • popsicle sticks
  • construction paper or card stock
  • paint brushes (optional)
  • sandwich bags
  • scissors

Mix up your homemade puff paint according to the recipe instructions. We put it in the sandwich bags to make for easier mixing and you can cut the tip of the corner when you are ready to paint.

Once you have the colors you want. Cut any shape for your ice cream from the  construction paper . Then glue your paper cutout to the popsicle stick.

Cut the tip of your puff paint baggies and begin painting! This is the fun part. If baggies don’t work for you you can just mix the paint in small containers and use paintbrushes.

Aren’t our ice cream creations amazing? This one was so much fun!
