You can use them to add flavor to almost any dish, and they can be used in both sweet and savory recipes. What Does it Mean to Do a Natural Pressure Release on Instant Pot?
When you’re cooking with an Instant Pot, there are two main types of pressure release: natural and quick. Natural pressure release means that you simply let the pressure dissipate on its own, which can take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes. Quick pressure release, on the other hand, involves using the valve to release the pressure immediately. So, what’s the difference between the two?
Well, for one thing, natural pressure release is often recommended for delicate foods like fish and veggies, as quick pressure release can sometimes cause them to overcook. Additionally, quick pressure release can be dangerous if not done properly, as it can result in a sudden burst of steam. If you’re new to Instant Pot cooking, it’s always best to err on the side of caution and go for a natural pressure release. Once you get more experience with your Instant Pot, you can experiment with quick releases and see what works best for you.
