Awesome hacks! I really need to try making stuffing in muffin tins – it would be perfect for portion control. Just this year we decided to do Thanksgiving buffet-style because of the lack of space, and it worked perfectly!

I always cook my turkey the day before Thanksgiving and have it all carved up and ready to go. That way I just have to heat it up on Thanksgiving day. It’s way less stressful and still tastes yummy!

I’ve never made my green bean casserole in the slow cooker… I have tried done the produce saving by wrapping in damp paper towel and the bacon clean up and grease absorbing with paper towel.

Making hard boiled eggs in the oven? That is new to me. Also liked the tip in ice on the turkey breast to keep them moist. I’ll have to try it.

I already do a lot of these tips. My family taught us the rules of bacon and the second rule you learn about cooking bacon is to always put it on a paper towel to soak up the leftover grease. The first rule is not to get popped. lol After reading this post I’m counting the amount of times I reached for a paper towel last night while cooking.
Excellent tips! We did mashed potatoes in the slow cooker one year and we were surprised at how well they turned out. And then we setup a second slow cooker for a green bean and bacon casserole, and it was the best as well.
